BLOOM - ESCH 2022

2020 marks the start of a 3-year partnership between KompleX KapharnaüM and Esch 2022, European Capital of Culture.
The project was to start with a 10-day residency in Esch-sur-Alzette in November and December.
The context forces us to rethink the situation.

30th  - 4 décembre 2020 : Résidence de création #1

During one week, between Monday November 30th and Friday December 4th, KompleX worked from its base camp.
About ten members of KompleX KapharnaüM, graphic designers, painters, videographers, sound designer, digital artists, authors, created a visual fresco offering a unique vision of the territory.

A series of archival images, made available by the CNA, were remixed by different visual processes that brought into play different materials (paint, wax, plastic, etc.) and transformed the original pictures.

With the desire to create a link with the inhabitants of Esch, we suggested them to meet us remotely through FENETRE OUVERTE. Our presence was materialized on site at 120 rue de l'Alzette.
Also, we invited them, to follow us daily in our creative workshop, from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m., on a dedicated streaming website.
